The members of Capistrano Coast Chapter have three goals: to teach leadership skills to our daughters, to maintain and strengthen the mother-daughter bond, and to make a difference in our community through volunteering.
You will find our mothers and daughters serving Thanksgiving dinner to the needy in San Clemente, helping children learn to read at Kinoshita Elementary School, assisting disabled children on horseback at the JF Shea Therapeutic Riding Center, brightening the holidays of our Seniors in Dana Point, and cheering for Special Olympians. Last year, we volunteered over 6,900 hours in our community and our fundraising efforts made it possible for us to award six scholarships to graduates of our local high schools and grants to our deserving philanthropies.
We have developed long-standing relationships with businesses in our communities which help support our efforts in our philanthropy work through their donations.
Our chapter holds four premier events for mothers and daughters to prepare for and enjoy together:
- Done In a Day - Fall
- Fashion Show and Fundraiser - Late Winter
- New Member Tea - Spring
- Senior Recognition (the pinnacle of our year) - Late Spring
There are also two grade-level events that mothers and daughter participate in:
- Mother-Daughter Tea
- Cultural Event
Our hope is that by providing our daughters with a strong foundation of involvement and caring, we will help strengthen and support our community's future.
